Buffalo Firefighters responded this evening for a report of a structure fire on Normal Ave. Engine 37 went on location reporting meat on the stove with extension into the walls. The fire was under control in about 8 minutes.

Gorge Rescue:
Gowanda Firefighters responded last night for a report of a person down in the gorge at Zoar Valley. Command went on location with 2 hikers down in the gorge. Crews reached the 2 hikers by helicopter but were unable to make the rescue. Another attempt will be made this morning.

Buffalo Firefighters responded this afternoon for a report of a drowning at the Soshone Park pool on Hertel Ave. Ladder 7 went on location reporting a body at the bottom of the pool and requested EMS on a rush. The body was pulled out by Ladder 7 and CPR was started. Last report the boy was fine and will fully recover.

Working Fire:
East Eden Firefighters responded this morning for a report of a structure fire on Keller Rd. Command went on location reporting a working kitchen fire. Mutual Aid was provided by Hamburg & Eden.

Akron Firefighters responded this evening for a report of a MVA at Hake Rd & Carney Rd. Akron 9-2 went on location reporting a 1 car rollover MVA with a victim ejected and requested Mercy Flight to the scene.

LODD:
A California Deputy Fire Chief collapses and dies.....
The deputy chief of the Southern Marin Fire Protection District collapsed at work and died Thursday as his own firefighters tried desperately to save him.

Water Rescue:
Akron Firefighters responded this afternoon for a report of a person in the water at Akron Falls Park. Command reported a female in the water who jumped from the falls and requested Mercy Flight to the scene.

Working Fire:
Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning for a report of a structure fire on Ohio St. Engine 1 went on location reporting smoke showing in a commercial building. Engine 3 reported a fire in the ceiling.

Buffalo Firefighters responded late last night for a report of a structure fire on Chicago St. B-46 went on location reporting fire on the 1st floor of an apartment in a complex. The fire was under control in about 6 minutes.

California Firefighter Dies after Hemorrhage.....
Firefighter Kevin Pryor passed away Tuesday, June 17 due to a massive inter-cerebral hemorrhage. He was thirty-one years old. Kevin Pryor began his career with the Newport Beach Fire Department in 2005 and served as a dedicated Firefighter for the Department.

Fatal Working Fire:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this evening for a report of a structure fire on Kamper St. Engine 25 was on location reporting fire on the 1st floor of a 2 1/2 stoy frame. B-46 reported heavy fire conditions in the front 1st floor with a victim trapped. The victim was removed from the house and later pronounced at a local hospital. The fire was under control in about 18 minutes.

Engine 32 went on location reporting a vehicle fire inside the building with extension and B-43 requested the 2nd alarm to the scene. The fire was under control in about 90 minutes.

Buffalo Firefighters responded this morning for a report of a MVA on the Rte 33 Westbound near Humboldt Pkwy. B-43 went on location reporting a vehicle hanging over the edge on fire. Rescue 1 responded to the scene and removed the car from falling. Engine 33 was called tot he scene for a fluid wash down on the Rte 33. An off duty firefighter extricated the victim before fire crews arrived.

3 Alarm Fire & Level 1 Hazmat:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this morning for a report of a structure fire on Niagara St. B-44 went on location reporting smoke showing from a large 2 story warehouse with possible chemicals involved. B-56 requested Engine 3 & Hazmat 1 to the scene and additional equipment (Engines 26, 21, & Ladder 7) to the scene. B-56 requested the balance of the 2nd alarm bringing Engine 3, Ladder 14, B-42, & B-41 to the scene. After 2 hours B-56 transferred command to B-47 and companies were picking up. B-47 requested additional equipment back to the scene for a flare up and B-56 requested a 2nd alarm again and then the 3rd alarm. Crews are still on scene 12 hours later battling this fire. About 16 firefighters have been treated for smoke inhalation at this fire. There is about 2 hours of audio listed below including the 2nd alarm & 3rd alarm dispatches.

I have posted photos of Marilla's Live Burn they held today next door to 1081 Two Rod Rd. I would like to thank Marilla Chief Ron Bourgeois Jr. & Marilla Firefighter Merritt Long for inviting me out there to take photos. Buffalo Firefighters responded this afternoon for a report of a MVA at niagara St & West Ferry. Engine 37 & Ladder 4 went on location reporting a 2 car MVA with one person trapped. Ladder 4 requested Rescue 1 to the scene. The victim was extricated in about 9 minutes.
