Buffalo 2 Alarm 100 Beck St 11/29/09

Buffalo Firefighters responded this evening to investigate ringing alarms on Beck St. B-43 went on location with reports of smoke on the 8th floor and requested the balance of the 1st alarm hi-rise assignment to the scene. Engine 3 reported smoke showing in the stairwell on the 6th floor and B-43 requested an additional 1 & 1 bringing Engine 32 & Ladder 2 to the scene. B-56 assumed command and reported fire on the 8th floor of a 11 story high rise & requested the balance of the 2nd alarm to the scene. Multiple victims were rescued and evacuated from the structure. The fire was under control in about 43 minutes and damages are listed at $300,000. Dispatch
