Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning to investigate smoke in a dwelling on Geary St. Engine 25 went on location investigating and further reported smoke showing. B-46 requested the balance of the 1st alarm and reported a basement fire in a 2 story dwelling. The fire was under control in about 18 minutes. the cause is listed as clothes left too close to a hot water tank and dmages are listed at $5,500. Dispatch
